Weekly Report CW 23

NFCreatures.com becomes alive: Dropping The Boring Folks soon!

The Boring Folks

After this week, the first two sets of 10 unique creatures are ready to drop. I created a landing page and a Twitter account. NFCreatures becomes “the house” of these NFT-Creatures. I call it “NFCreatures.com” because it sounds more fluid, is easy to remember, and stands for Non-Fungible Creatures.

Set 3 is on its way:

For all Boring Creatures, I use analog and animated textures to build their bodies. Set 3 comes with more details, colors, and lights. Most importantly, they come with many analog imperfections, as you can see here:

These imperfections come from their DNA, the Boring Textures. The creature above is created with this almond close-up shot:

Don’t suffer from Boring Moments—Create!

All Boring Creatures have one thing in common: They turn boring moments into amazing results. The people who are going to own and support it represent this idea as The Boring Folks. It’s all about taking the opportunity of boring moments to take action rather than suffer in shame. Don’t overthink. Just create, and amazing things happen for you.

Don’t pitch your idea.

Imagine you have an idea that (may) solves a problem in the business world. Now you can go and pitch it to potential clients, or you can go and find out how they are solving the problem right now. When they tell you that they have three full-time employees that make some workarounds to solve this issue, then you know how you can price it. This is probably much higher than you expected it to be. But if you go in and pitch it right away, you miss the chance to learn, improve and possibly leave plenty of value on the table.

In the book “The Mom Test” by Rob Fitzpatrick, he describes valuable and practical steps to take to discover insights beyond your idea, before you spend money on it. Currently, I’m working through this book and work with it already on a project. I love it because it helps people achieve more, and I recommend you to check it out too.

The Five Friday Questions (CW23)

I end every week with a Friday Report and five questions, as we implemented it at OnSaPa GmbH to keep a consistent feedback relation.

What was good?

  • WHY-Discovery with my brother on Monday was nice.
  • Finished the 2nd NFCreatures set for The Boring Folks
  • Started a new style I really like for the next creatures
  • Launched the website draft for nfcreatures.com
  • Delivered two special creatures for an art exhibition
  • Making progress on location scouting for the Kulturbügel association
  • Updated the concept for the Kulturbügel association
  • Read and understood the concept of the book “The Mom Test.”
  • Surprised by the calculations for an upcoming app development
  • Great conversation with the Tax Accountant (saving some money)
  • Created the promotion steps for the 500 Artworks Drop on Makersplace
  • After a month, 5 am is now very easy to go out of bed.

What to look at in the future?

  • Set clear goals next week for weekly Check-Ins at OnSaPa
    -> use Tim’s Template
  • Create the promotion video for the 500 Artworks Drop

What was shitty?

  • A very soft body «collapse» on Thursday afternoon (WTF happened?!)
  • No progress with agencies for joining a design team
  • No revenues this week

What should stay as it is?

  • Productivity
  • Living in balance with my WHY

What was neglected?

  • I think I could have done more on the NFCreatures-website

That’s it for post #11— I will be back next week.

Enjoy a wonderful weekend!
