Weekly Report CW42

This week was crazy. Fast, full of work, and I started every morning at 5 am. To track it consistently with the tracking sheet helps to go to bed early to mark a blue dot in the morning.

Last week, I met a friend, and he needs to pass an English exam next summer, or he will lose his entire six years of studying. It sounds ridiculous, but it's true. He has doubts that he won't make it. I assured him to help. My friend made a promise to learn at least 10 minutes of English but every single day. Sounds familiar? Like my unbroken running rule. Now he uses the same tracking method and has no single day missed since he has started. He regularly sends me updates on his sheet. And never went below 30 minutes so far. This start of a transformation makes me happy.

Crowdfunding Week: WOP.

A lot of people want to make our planet more sustainable. The problem is that we often don't know where to start. It's overwhelmingly hard, and in the end, people don't change much. In a world of plenty, we buy and buy and buy and often keep things somewhere stored. There are even places to store your boxes if you haven't enough space at home anymore. That's crazy.

What if you could simply take a picture of your loved but unused things and put them back into a local circle? That someone a few streets ahead sees your item on an app, match with you, and get's it directly from your place. Then you have space, and you've made someone happy. If you need things, open the app and check out what's available in your area.

The big goal of WOP is having local circles that always pass unused but good things ahead. In our world of plenty, we don't have to buy endlessly when we can balance the items in the local neighborhood.

This week, I helped my partner with additional strategy services. We created a crowdfunding campaign at wemakeit for WOP. On October 27, she is going public with her project.

I'm going to share the work next week. But for now, I have to rest. There is still stuff to do before I can go and play with my friends tonight 😱

The Five Friday Questions (CW42)

I end every week with a Friday Report and five questions, as we implemented it at OnSaPa GmbH to keep a consistent feedback relation.

What was good?

  • I created a whole crowdfunding video. From script to voice-over. From filming to postproduction and motion design. And even some additional content (still images).
  • Tracked 51 productive hours of work, most of it for WOP
  • Created a feedback form for actionpainting.ch/feedback
  • A bank is interested in helping. The PitchDeck sold the idea
  • I made my 2019 Tax stuff for Berlin
  • Learned and wrote down notes every day about sales
  • Helping my friend to keep track of practicing English every day
  • I started with Touch Designer for my Everyday Art

What to look at in the future?

  • I need to work over my OnSaPa services to make the process and to offer crystal clear and then stick 100% to it. I can't mix my previous motion design services with OnSaPa customers. That gets messy. Sometimes, it doesn't feel good to help others when they attack or push back with perfectionism. That kills creative energy and leaves me with frustration. A wise old friend once told me: Only run with people that run your pace.

What was shitty?

  • I have to check a bone on my leg for a minor fracture 🤮
  • I had to take down well-paid work because my week was too planned.
  • I feel tired of writing this medium article.

What should stay as it is?

  • That I hit deadlines when I truly commit to them, no matter what! 🚀

What was neglected?

  • Nothing.

I will be back next week with new updates.

Enjoy a wonderful weekend!
Otto
