OKRs Friday: Zoom Out

This week went by so quickly, that I can’t really believe it’s Friday again. Because it’s the last Friday of the month, it’s OKRs Friday. It means to zoom out and to see the bigger picture. When I look at my OKRs for this quarter, I see that there are a few things moving ahead. That feels good. It feels especially good, that the financial part started rolling. I had some real financial struggles by the end of 2020—personally and at my OnSaPa startup. I built more revenue streams and finally, they start to show effects.

Now I can move ahead with those streams and make more revenue, while I’m focusing on the neglected parts such as admin work, working on the OnSaPa product, and personal growth. I’m aiming to join a design team as soon as possible, to get my head completely free for the other KRs.

I set “love yourself again” as a mission for this quarter because I really love what I’m doing at OnSaPa. I love to spend time with clients, see them grow and transform. To see how they start designing their lives. I would “hate” myself if I’d have to quit what I love doing, just because I couldn’t handle the financial situation. The fear became so real by the end of 2020 and the start of 2021, that I set a mission, where I put in all my energy to turn the situation into a success.

I’m grateful for my close friends and loved ones, that take the time to talk to me. I can always turn to these people, they listen actively, reflect, inspire back. And this is super helpful in zooming out from time to time. To stay aware of the bigger picture. And then going back into the game with the new insights that were built.

The OKRs help me to measure my progress and to keep me focused on what matters. Even if feelings are sometimes “strange”: OKRs are like a map I can open in the mornings, pick KRs I think have to be pushed ahead, then follow through and track the time I needed.

I can see on the results, that OnSaPa goes pretty confident ahead. The management part is a bit weak. The personal growth is mediocre—things I do as a routine are achieved, but the added-up stuff wasn’t focused at all. Maybe I put here a bit too much on the table, especially with the 3D course.

OKRs Friday: Zoom In

I’m going to attack the management parts in May so that I can hit all the 1.0s on these KRs asap.

The Five Friday Questions (CW17)

I end every week with a Friday Report and five questions, as we implemented it at OnSaPa GmbH to keep a consistent feedback relation.

What was good?

  • My freelance motion design for a new agency made their client happy
  • Prepared with a book to make my personal costs & earnings list next week
  • Guided three OnSaPa clients forward in their progress
  • Reviewed OnSaPa’s pricing model to update offering
  • Reviewed OnSaPa’s Strategy Guide to update next quarter
  • Made 3.2k this week with motion design work
  • Connected with NFT-Artists on Discord

What to look at in the future?

  • Invite OnSaPa clients to our Discord server
  • Write down the new OnSaPa offering & visualize the Strategy Guide product

What was shitty?

  • Unexpected problems with uploading to Zerolens (beta 1.0) shifted my personal deadline for a project to next week.

What should stay as it is?

  • Following through! 🚀
  • Inspiring conversation with entrepreneurial friends

What was neglected?

  • nothing

That’s it for post #5 — I will be back next week.

Enjoy a wonderful weekend!
