Weekly Report CW 22

Pushing NFTs this month

I spent a lot of time looking to become part of a design team. I’m not in control to make this happen alone, and it didn’t work out so far. When I look at my OKRs, it’s better to focus my last four weeks of the quarter on something I can control. And this is creating something for the NFT community.

Introducing: The first 10 Boring Creatures

A very first sneak peek of these creatures :>

The DNA of the creatures above lies in the Boring Textures below. Their bodies are displaced with photographs from analog materials. This is how their DNA looks like:

Boring Moment — Amazing Results.

Earlier in life, I used boring moments to smoke, get high, or fill the boring moment with other short bursts of excitement. Today, I use boredom to take action. What I like that boring moments can be turned into exciting results. We have to stick with the task at hand and not give into short-term gratifications. If we stick with it, amazing things happen.

By the end of 2018, this Boring Textures project was a turning point in my life. I really wanted to finish what I started. Having big ideas but not so, many tangible results made me frustrated. I felt like an imposter to myself too often. I started so many projects, buying domains, and I had ideas everywhere. When I started this Boring Textures project, I quit smoking and other bad habits and followed through. I felt amazing and proud about it. But much more important, it replaced procrastination and dreaming with productive behavior since then. I’ve still got hundreds of ideas as backburners, but that’s okay. They come when the time is ready for them. And in the meantime, I make some things happen.

Successful Feelings

The successful feeling for me comes from an alignment of what I love doing, with the results prove I’m doing what I love. The Mission of this quarter, “love yourself again,” seems to work out. I helped other people achieve more, and I made enough income to get into the next quarter to keep up this journey. I help myself too to achieve more with all of that. Hitting numbers is not what makes me feel successful. It’s the tangible results that prove I’m working in balance with my WHY. To help people achieve more.

WHY-Discovery with a group

Last Saturday, I led a WHY-Discovery Session for a group where I’m the founder. I didn't want to take part in the group to not influence them with my own WHY. So I stepped back, and even if the session had turned out with a WHY that isn’t aligned with mine, that would be okay. I went into this discovery to help them find their WHY. Here, translated from Swiss German into English:

“To create new worlds, so that horizons are expanded.”

It’s the first draft, and we are going to refine it over time. But the stories we share as a group already prove it’s our natural driver. These worlds mentioned are places that are designed to bring different people together, to mingle them, so that their mind opens. The place is designed in a way that they want to mingle, even if they have different interests. Now we are looking for a place to repeat this, knowing our WHY to see what happens. I can’t wait to discover this!

The Five Friday Questions (CW22)

I end every week with a Friday Report and five questions, as we implemented it at OnSaPa GmbH to keep a consistent feedback relation.

What was good?

  • The Why Discovery with a group last Saturday was amazing.
  • Focused and finished the creation of this website www.actionpainting.ch
  • New work incoming from an old friend, yay

What to look at in the future?

  • Focus on NFTs
  • Make reading the 3 related books and summaries a daily habit
  • Focus on one thing and finish it (like the website this week)
  • Update ottinzky.com portfolio
  • Set fewer OKRs next quarter
  • Fix admin work on the German company

What was shitty?

  • Slept below 5 hours for 3 days in a row, oops.

What should stay as it is?

  • Self-empowerment
  • Momentum

What was neglected?

  • Nothing. I did what I had set as goals.

That’s it for post #10 — I will be back next week.

Enjoy a wonderful weekend!
